March’s Full Moon In Virgo is no nonsense

March’s Full Moon In Virgo is no nonsense

The Moon is full Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 6:51 pm CST.

A full moon occurs when the Sun and Moon are exactly opposite by sign and degree.  During a full moon there is a need for completion and endings so situations come to a head or boiling point during this time or we may express something we’ve kept secret or hidden.

Because the Sun and Moon are in tense aspect to one another full moons carry intense energy hence the reason they can be associated with ‘crazy’ behavior.  We’ve all heard stories about police stations and emergency rooms getting very busy during a full moon.

Actually, we have two full moons this month and the first one happens today in the sign of Virgo so this is a serious, no-nonsense, worker-bee moon that is looking for results.  We’re ready to put our heads down and get to work, make lists, and get organized.  We’re planning and preparing for the months to come.

Virgo is the natural ruler of the 6th House so our job and physical health take center stage. We’re not just talking about changes; we’re committed to advancement and financial rewards in our work lives.  If we haven’t been taking care of ourselves now is the time to get back on track by making changes to our diet and exercise regime.

One word of caution, Virgo is a sign that can get caught in an endless loop of self-criticism so it’s important we don’t fall into the trap of analysis-paralysis.  Numerology also plays an important role in this full moon because it occurs at 11 degrees Virgo.  Eleven is a master number in numerology that helps us achieve self-mastery and trust our intuition.

This early full Moon in Virgo trines Saturn.

A trine occurs when two planets are in the same element, in this case the earth element, and at the same degree.  When the Moon and Saturn make a trine to one another we are able to take a realistic view of our lives and remain patient during times of change and stress.  We are able to face difficult emotions we may have avoided in the past.
