Animal communicators, also known as pet psychics, are said to be able to communicate with domesticated—and sometimes wild—animals in a nonverbal way to help us understand behavioral issues, medical conditions, and the emotional and energetic state of our animals better.
Joan Ranquet, long-time animal communicator, author, and speaker, says this nonverbal language is telepathy—"the transference of pictures, words, and feelings"—and that anyone can do it and probably already has. Joan believes that we're all animal communicators and that telepathy is a skill we can hone to improve our relationships with our animal friends and loved ones.
Joan demystifies the experience and practice of animal communication via telepathy, so that anyone can put it to practical use. According to Joan, "Telepathy can be active or non-active ... Your state-of-being can be sending something whether you are aware of it or not." Examples of this include being in physical or emotional pain and having a dog or cat want to comfort you, or being overwhelmed by your thoughts and anxieties and your animal companion does something funny that shifts your state of mind.
"Our state-of-being attracts or repels people and animals around us. It is our frequency, or vibration, transmitted by our emotions, thoughts, or physical condition. This could be as basic as the fact that you smell funny from taking a medication, or that you’re depressed from taking a pain-killer. Either way, the larger world around us and our own microcosm—home—respond, just as we are constantly responding to the stimulation, frequency, or vibration of what we are exposed to; say, a spouse, a boss, [or] a friend in a tough situation ... "
There are many reasons to want to communicate telepathically with your animal, including big changes to their world and schedule such as a move or death in the family, helping them overcome past traumas or current fears, missing and desiring connection with a pet that's crossed over, or experiencing behaviors in your pet that you don't understand. In many cases, we are just looking to deepen our relationship with and connection to our animal companions.
