The moon is on her way to being full this Saturday August 9 in the airy sign of Aquarius at 2:55am CST. Full moons occur every month when the sun and moon are in opposite signs at the exact same degree; for this lunation the sun is at 17 degrees of Leo and the moon is in the opposite sign of Aquarius at 17 degrees. In astrology the moon is linked to feelings, sensitivity and moods so when the moon is full our feelings can also feel full and overwhelming at times. If you were around in the 1970s you’ll remember mood rings were all the rage. A moon ring was a piece of jewelry that would change colors depending on your moods and feelings. You can think of the moon as a big cosmic mood ring. Our moods can shift and change depending on the current moon sign. Full moons bring situations to culmination and release. This isn’t the time to start something new, leave that for the new moon. Full moons are the peak of the lunar cycle each month.

This weekend as the full moon occurs the Universe could communicate and send messages to us through these Aquarian associations just mentioned. Maybe the number 11 will show up in a significant way like being part of an important address. A certain time could be significant like 11am or 11pm or maybe the colors electric blue or violet. A friendship or social group could be the center of your attention this weekend. Unique and individuality are keywords linked to Aquarius. Maybe it’s time to express a part of yourself that you keep hidden because you fear the disapproval of others. As the Pluto in Sagittarius generation would say; do you boo.

Uranus and the Full Moon in Aquarius

As mentioned before Uranus is the planetary ruler of Aquarius. During this full moon Uranus makes a trine to both Mars and Pluto. The trine aspect means the planets involved are vibing with one another. Uranus trine Mars gives us a productive and innovative energy. We can be motivated to get things done. Uranus trine Pluto brings out our “inner-activist”, the part of us looking for social change. This aspect also helps us release the past and old limiting beliefs that keep us stuck.

Mercury will end its retrograde period and go direct two days after the full moon August 11.

Take care and have a great full moon in Aquarius and we hope to see you in the store soon.
