The moon is on her way to being full this Sunday July 21 in the earthy sign of Capricorn at 5:17 am CST. This is actually the second Capricorn full moon of the year. We had a Capricorn full moon last month on June 21. The energy of a full moon is one of tension; feeling like we’re being pulled in two different directions. In astrology, the moon is linked to our moods and emotions during a full moon our feelings are amplified and can seem overwhelming at times. Our goal at this time during the month is to try and find some sense of balance. Full moons can be a time when situations in our lives are brought to completion.

Keywords and the Full Moon in Capricorn: status, command, authority, establishment, determination, pessimism, status, tradition, endurance, success, prudence, constancy, melancholy, mastery and aristocracy. With keywords like endurance, determination, command and success we can find ourselves pushing through obstacles to reach our goals. Capricorn belongs to the earth element meaning this is a sign that places special emphasis on practicality, stability and results. With a full moon in Capricorn we’re going to feel more safe and secure if our life is structured so if we’ve been feeling a little out of balance we can create a routine to help ground our energy.

The 10th House and the Full Moon in Capricorn: Each sign of the zodiac is linked to one of the twelve astrological houses. Capricorn is the natural ruler of the 10th House, the angle on the astrological wheel that deals with honor, status, position, reputation and career. Just like last month’s full moon in Capricorn, our careers can be highlighted at this time; maybe a new job prospect or an interview for a new position. Some of us may receive a promotion or some type of recognition for a job well done. As mentioned above, the moon rules our moods and emotions and the 10th House rules our career so we could be more sensitive and responsive to the mood in our work place.

Sun trine Neptune: During this full moon in Capricorn the sun will make a trine aspect to the planet Neptune. The sun is the most powerful force in the universe and in astrology it is linked to life force, vitality and inner purpose. Neptune is a planet that is related to illusions, delusions, psychic powers, intuition, ecstasy, deception and compassion. The sun will highlight or cast light on the planet Neptune during this full moon. A trine aspect is a more harmonious and flowing aspect so our compassion for others will be heightened and our psychic vibe on high. This is also a great time to spend time alone to reflect and meditate and maybe journal.

Mercury square Uranus: During this full moon in Capricorn Mercury will make a square aspect to the planet Uranus. In astrology, Mercury is the planet of communication, understanding, interpretation, intelligence, writing and papers. Uranus is the planet linked to disruption, surprises, originality, independence, eccentricity and madness. A square aspect is a more difficult, hard and sometimes surprising aspect so we could find our communication (Mercury) being explosive (Uranus). Arguments and disagreements are common when Mercury and Uranus are in difficult aspect.

Mars trine Pluto: During this full moon in Capricorn Mars will make a trine aspect to the planet Pluto. Mars is known as the planet of action, war, aggression and sex while Pluto is the planet linked to transformation, crisis, death, psychology and to a certain degree sex. Trines are harmonious and flowing aspects so when Mars makes a trine to Pluto we get a push of energy that helps us complete tasks and get work done. Mars trine Pluto also gives us the energy and courage to see things through to completion. If you’ve been thinking about changes you would like to make in your life this would be the day to take at least one step toward those changes.

Everyone have a great Full Moon in Capricorn and we hope to see you in the store soon. Take care.
