The moon is on her way to being full this Saturday October 28 in the earthy sign of Taurus at 3:24 pm CST. Full moons occur every month when the sun and moon are in opposite signs at the exact same degree; for this particular full moon the sun will be at 5 degrees Scorpio while the moon will be in the opposite sign of Taurus at 5 degrees. In astrology the moon is linked to emotions, moods, instincts, habits and the unconscious. Because full moons have a tendency to cast a light on our unconscious, the darkness within, we can feel quite restless, moody and anxious at this time. This of course isn’t to punish us or make our lives harder but to bring to light what we previously ignored or repressed.

This particular full moon is also a lunar eclipse. Lunar eclipses occur when the sun, earth and moon are lined up and the earth is between; lunar eclipses only occur on full moons. In fact, you can think of lunar eclipses as hyped up, dramatic full moons. If we’re in denial about something or we don’t want to deal with something in our lives a lunar eclipse can come along and force us to deal with this secret side of ourselves. Eclipses occur four to six times a year and can bring great change and transformation in our lives.

Taurus, the Lunar Eclipse, Uranus and Money: Each of the twelve zodiac signs are linked to a particular astrological house and for Taurus that’s the 2nd House; the angle on the astrological wheel that is associated with personal finances, possessions, what we value and self-worth. At its most basic level this full moon lunar eclipse in Taurus can highlight our finances. Adding to this spotlight on money is the fact that Uranus, the planet of disruption and surprises, entered the sign of Taurus in May of 2018 and will remain there until April of 2026 when it moves into the sign of Gemini to stay for seven years. Needless to say that when a disruptive planet like Uranus enters the sign of Taurus we’re bound to see some ups and downs in the financial department.

Many of us experienced some form of financial fluctuation and insecurity during the 2020 Covid lockdown. Uranus is the master of invention and when your couple that energy with Taurus energy you get an anything goes kind of vibe in the financial department. Many of us had to think outside of the box when it came to money and how we earn that money. Forced out of their “secure” nine to five jobs some took this opportunity to start their own business. This full moon lunar eclipse in Taurus could be telling you it’s time to nurture those crazy, cool, creative ideas you’ve had for years and turn them into your very own side hustle.

Crystals and the Full Moon Solar Eclipse in Taurus:

Citrine would be an obvious choice because it’s known as the stone of manifestation and abundance. Green Calcite is another good stone to use during this full moon. Since Taurus is a fixed sign meaning it’s a sign that likes to hold on to things, Green Calcite can help with letting go what no longer serves you. Emerald which is a stone closely associated with Taurus is another great choice. Since Emerald is green this links it to the heart chakra which in turn links it to love and romance. So emerald is one of many stones you could use if you are looking for love.
