The moon is on her way to being full this Monday November 27 in the airy sign of Gemini at 3:16 am CST. Full moons occur every month when the sun and moon are in opposite signs at the exact same degree. For this particular full moon the sun will be at 4 degrees Sagittarius while the moon will be in the opposite sign of Gemini at 4 degrees. Full moons can illuminate what was previously hidden or kept secret. Full moons also create a sense of tension, we can feel like we’re being pulled in two different directions and our goal is to try and find a sense of balance.

Keywords and the Full Moon in Gemini: curiosity, adaptable, expressive, fickle, mischievous, moody, nervous, restless, talkative, youthful, friendly, clever, whimsy, versatile and fellowship. Each zodiac sign is linked to one of the twelve astrological houses and Gemini is associated with the 3rd House. Keywords linked to the 3rd House are communication, merchants, brothers and sisters, short trips, adaptability, conversation, chit-chat, phone calls, writing, magazines and newspapers. Do any of these keywords associated with the sign of Gemini or it’s astrological house relate to your life right now? With keywords like talkative, expressive, chit-chat and phone calls it becomes quite evident that communication is a big deal with this full moon. It may be time to finally speak your mind. Feisty Mars makes an aspect to this full moon meaning others could try to push you into making a decision you aren’t comfortable with.

Modalities and the Full Moon in Gemini: As mentioned earlier the sun is in the opposite sign of Sagittarius. Both Gemini (moon sign) and Sagittarius (sun sign) are both classified as mutable signs. Each sign belongs to a modality and there are three modalities; cardinal, fixed and mutable. Belonging to the mutable modality means Sagittarius and Gemini tend to be flexible, adaptable and changeable. So, with the modality in mind we could say this full moon could bring a need for change; maybe a change of scenery is needed like a move to a new house or maybe a new job. Whatever form the change comes in doesn’t really matter, what matters most is that it gets you excited about your life. Both Sagittarius and Gemini abhor boredom and thrive on stimulation. Are you bored with a certain aspect of your life right now? What part of your life needs some stimulation?

Mercury, Neptune and the Full Moon in Gemini: Mercury, the planetary ruler of Gemini, will be square Neptune on the day of the full moon. Mercury is associated with the mind and communication while Neptune is linked to psychic vibes, illusions and delusions. A Mercury/Neptune aspect can bring with it a feeling of confusion and difficulty in expressing yourself. It’s very important that you see people and situations as they are and not as you would like them to be. This is also known as wearing “rose-colored glasses”. It’s probably a good idea to talk to someone you trust before making a major decision at this time especially if this involves negotiations or a financial deal. During a difficult Mercury/Neptune aspect we can be the victim of deception and misrepresentation.

Crystals, Stones and the Full Moon in Gemini: With the nervous mental energy of a Gemini full moon Hematite would be a great grounding stone that helps with anxiety. Apophyllite is another good stone for this particular lunation. Judy Hall, author of The Crystal Bible, calls Apophyllite the Stone of Truth. Apophyllite helps us accept the reality of a situation instead of disregarding inconvenient facts we’d rather push to the side. With communication being of such importance during this full moon Chrysocolla would be my third recommendation. This beautiful blue/green stone helps us determine when to speak and when its best to stay silent.
