These palm-sized polished Dumortierite stones sit nicely in the hand. Dumortierite belongs to the silicate class of minerals and is named for the French paleontologist, Eugene Dumortier.

Dumortierite is a dark violet to blue color, although variations can be brown or pink, often found in Quartz. It is effective for activating the pineal gland in the forehead, the third eye. It may enhance psychic or intuitive abilities and can be a good stone for practitioners and readers.
